Travel in central Mongolia

Day 1: Our staff will meet you and transfer to the center of capital city Ulaanbaatar. Guided city tour to Gandan Lamasery, National history museum and Choijin Lama Monastery. In the evening have a nice look to the city from the Zaisan Memorial.
Day 2: We will start our trip to the Khustai National Park. On the way we will see forest steppe and steppe landscape with cool temperature and many wild birds and flowers. The park lies in the foothills of southern Khentii mountain range and it is the place where you can see wild horse called Takhi known as Przewalski horse to the world. The wild horses survive in nature by themselves because they have been reintroduced successfully to their homeland after 40 years of extinction. Currently, the number of Takhi has already reached more than 170. Visit to local museum.
After lunch at the camp drive to the Elsen Tasarkhai semi desert. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river and lake. Together this presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and Gobi-type landscape in one location.
Day 3: After breakfast visit to nomadic family. Enjoy real Mongolian nomads. Sketches of nomadic way of living milking a cow and tea making. We have one hour for camel riding.
Drive to ancient capital city Kharakhorum. In 1220 great Chinghis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few. Erdenezuu - the 1st Buddhist monastery in Mongolia was established in 1586. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts. It has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, 108 Stupas & 17 temples.
Day 4: Early morning drive back to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch continue driving to Gorkhi Terelj National Park. Terelj was founded as a national park in 1994 and is located on the edge of Khan Khentii mountain range. Terelj is the name of a plant (Latin ledum) which is very abundant in the area and which flowers at the end of the spring. Edelweiss is also very common here. The alpine scenery and fantastic rock formations of Terelj National Park were the homelands of Genghis Khan and his hordes. The rock formations of the park are fascinating, while more than 250 bird species make it an enchanting place to relax. Some of the rock formations resemble the bodies of prehistoric animals. Nomadic tribesmen still herd their herds in the pastureland.
Day 5: We will spend the day in the park for our personal interests. Horse back riding around the area.
Day 6: Depending on your wish we will leave the park anytime for the busy city. In the evening we will see traditional folklore concert. Farewell dinner hosted by our company.
Day 7: Your honored guide and driver will see you off.
