Discover great lakes of Mongolia

Day 1: Our staff will meet you and transfer to the center of capital city Ulaanbaatar . Guided city tour to Gandan Lamasery, Natural history museum and Choijin Lama Monastery. In the evening have a nice look to the city from the Zaisan Memorial.

Day 2: In the morning drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery through Erdenet city. The monastery is considered the second most important monasteries after Erdene Zuu Monastery and the most intact architectural complex in Mongolia. Amarbaysgalant Monastery was built in 1727-1738 by the Manchu emperor Yongzheng, and dedicated to the great Mongolian Buddhist and sculptor, Zanabazar, whose mummified body was moved here in 1779.
Day 3: After breakfast drive to Murun city. On the way we will see Baibulag Khot and Uran Uul (volcano)
Day 4: After an early breakfast start long driving to the Great Lake Khuvsgul, the second largest freshwater lake in Central Asia with over one percent of the world's freshwater and a maximum depth of 262m. This gorgeous lake is fed by ninety six rivers and streams, but only Egiin River flows out from the lake, joining the Selenge River on the way to the Lake Baikal. The Khuvsgul lake is inhabited by nine species of fish, while the nearby taiga forest, forest steppe, and mountains provide habitat for 68 species of mammals, including argali, ibex, elk, reindeer, musk deer, brown bear, lynx, marten, beaver, wolf and moose as well as 244 species of birds and 750 species of plants. The lake is surrounded by dozens of stunning mountains, thick pine forests and lush meadows with grazing yaks and horses Lake Khuvsgul.
Day 5: Today we will spend the day around the lake dong our interesting things like swimming, fishing, walking in the forest, horse back riding or reindeer riding. In the afternoon we will drive to the Tsaatan people to see their different life with cute reindeers.
Day 6: In the morning start driving to the white Lake. We will have long day in the car but with beautiful nature.
Day 7: Continue driving to the lake. …. We will arrive in the afternoon at the lake and have a good rest.
Day 8: Spend the day around the area. The Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption many millennia ago. After the lunch we will make a small excursion to the Khorgo volcano (2965m).
Day 9: After breakfast drive to Tsenkher hot spa. It is natural hot spring which is in the grassy plain. The heat of the hot spring coming out from the source is 86 degrees. The open air-bath which enters in the grassy plain gives the most unforgettable feeling.
The area is surrounded by forest and it is good place for hiking and riding yaks.

 On the way we will visit Tsetserleg city to see the Zaya Gegeenii Monastery. The Monastery was built in 1586 but expanded 1679, when it housed five temples and up to 1000 monks.

Day10: After a tasty breakfast leave to Orkhon waterfall. The waterfall was formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20,000 years ago. The waterfall is also known as Ulaan Tsutgalan and it is situated in the historically significant Orkhon valley, whose river flows an incredible 1120km to the north.
Day11: Today we will drive to the ancient capital city of Mongolia, Kharakhorum.
In 1220 great Chinghis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few. Erdenezuu - the 1st Buddhist monastery in Mongolia was established in 1586. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts. It has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, 108 Stupas & 17 temples.
Day12:
After a good sleep drive to the Elsen Tasarkahai Semi Desert. The area is surrounded by sand dunes, hills covered with rare bushes and a small forest near a river and lake. Together this presents a unique combination of Mongolian mountains, forests and Gobi-type landscape in one location.

Day13: It's time to say “Goodbye” to beautiful countryside, and return to the busy city Ulaanbaatar .
 On the way we will see the Khustai Nuruu National park, where the Equus Prezewalski wild horses – takhi. In the evening we will join a very interesting folklore concert, which you will remember for a long time.
In the evening we will enjoy Mongolian traditional folklore concert. Farewell dinner hosted by our company.
Day14: Your guide and driver will see you off.
